ONE is flying, one is drawn well and one is a good chance!

That’s how Ryan Hryhorec assessed his runners ahead of Saturday night’s Globe Derby program.

“Flying” describes Darkndapper, which is engaged in the second event on the card.

Winner of his last two starts, Darkndapper has drawn barrier six with Dani Hill to once again partner the son of Shadow Play.

“He is flying at the moment,” Hryhorec said. “The draw isn’t ideal, but he is my best chance on the night.

“Dani has had three drives behind him for a second at her first drive when he broke and went enormous and two wins, so I’m not changing something that works.

“I drove him four starts ago and my wife said ‘you look really big on him’ which was enough for me to change to a lightweight driver like Dani.

“I don’t know if he has turned the corner or Dani is better suited to him, but like I said, I’m not changing it while it’s working.”

Drawn well is Arakbell, which will begin from the pole.

Runner-up against similar company last week, the son of Betterthancheddar is ready to make the most of his starting position according to Hryhorec.

“He is drawn well which brings him into it,” Hryhorec said. “With the right run he can go one better than his last start.”

Ebonyrose is the “good chance” despite drawing the outside of the front row.

Also successful during her last two outings, the mare is owned by multiple premiership winning horseman Joe Carbone.

“She is in strong form and is a good chance despite the draw,” Hryhorec said. “She’s up in class but will go close.”
